About Us

SPCA Web Photographers are a group of photography volunteers for the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Tampa Bay. Each week we take photographs and write bios of adoptable pets in the hopes of quickly finding them a permanent home. SPCA Tampa Bay's web site is a valuable venue for promoting the adoption of homeless pets and it is often the starting point for many people who are looking for a new addition to their family. Volunteer photographers take and prepare the photos, along with write-ups (or short biographies) for posting on the SPCA Tampa Bay website, PetFinder.com, Adopt-a-Pet.com, and for "pet of the week" newspaper and web profiles. "Web Pet" volunteers have the opportunity to directly impact the number of animals that are adopted from the shelter. All SPCA Web Photographers must become an SPCA Tampa Bay volunteer and complete the training required.

SPCAWebPhotography.com is our website that ensures all photographs and biographies are uploaded in a timely manner, as well as serving as a location for important procedural information, a database of photography volunteers and an archive of stock photos and previous adoptable pets. You must register on this site in order to use these tools, and only those who are current SPCA Web Photographers will continue to have access.

Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you at SPCA Tampa Bay soon!
